Let me tell you a story of how I came to be, It started under a weeping willow tree, Those shadows became my friends, But Plato warned that this would end. I should find reality, I should see. Lost my dog when I was three, He was dangerous to me, Backwards, foaming, deaf and blind, He bit me close to Christmas time. I was scared as I should be, How could he? That was my reality. God was right in front of me, Smiling down allegedly, I stepped up to smile in kind, And quickly learned that I was blind, Lonely as this world can be, I was free. Now just past 33, These things no longer bother me. Trees are rich, and forests bloom, I can see myself in you, Walking with my legacy. I can see. I shape my reality.
2.
Paths chosen cannot be foreseen as any more, Than sillhouettes of aspirations and doors, The force of the gravel beneath our strides, The souls on our shoes that we wear tonight, Hey, man: look down at the blood. I can accept that I know nothing of the world outside my own, But can the world outside my own accept that which I know, It can and it does, Hey, man: look down at the blood. Stones have been thrown and lines have been drawn, A scar and a sun remain, Shedding love and blame through a whisper of rays, Days will pass and change, But nobody taught me how to build a bridge, I've got the toolkit, but I don't know what to fix, And I'm picking out the steps that I can skip, Oh, no, I gotta go, I'll meet you in Ontario. Oh, one token, Bones along the road that have no name, Oh, and I'm choking, You're reminding me our paths are not the same, Hey, man: it's a flood, Hey, man: look down at the blood. ------ Hide the people you know, Tell yourself the flowers didn't grow this year, There's nothing but snow, There's nothing but snow, There's nothing but snow, That will be all you know. And I'll be gone.
3.
We were down by the ocean, All the waves were in motion, You were playing in the sand, I asked you to take my hand, And you said, "Daddy, can we stay for just one more day? Do we have to go? I'm warm and comfortable." Okay, We can stay by the ocean, Hold our time and emotion, Build a castle in the sand, Show the ocean where we stand, And you said, "Daddy, today is great, Leaving will have to wait, We don't have to go, We're warm and comfortable." Well I sure would like to be, Comfortable and free, So take my hand and we can stay all day, The smell of ocean in our nose, And water splashing on our toes, So it goes, The castle grows, Our castle grows. credits --------- Watch the horizon extend, Round and round again, Candles light and burn, Leaves aware of their need to turn, Here comes the son, 15 plus another ton.
4.
I'll never see you again, Kiss me like it will never end, I see the sun in your eyes, Time to say goodbye. ------- I can see three now, Do you too? Out of the blue, Past and present are real and tomorrow is new, ...ahhh... What to do, What to do? I can see me now, Do you too? Out of the blue, Close my eyes just to see all my dreams come true. ...ahhh... What to do, What to do? I can feel free now, Do you too? Out of the blue, What I see is a relative hue in you. ...ahhh... Pale blues, Pale blues. ------- No doubt that I'm living it out, Warm sun and I'm walking about, Wind comes and the world is shouting, "Wake up!"
5.
Drastic are moods, And crude is the shovel that buried my eyes in the sand, It's amazing to me, How every rock and tree fades to sand, How did I get here alone? Drones...drones...drones... I'll now let my mind accept the day, Retaliate! Sink into a dream, Sort of the seams, And stitch up a scheme to remain as a whole, Drones....drones...drones... ----- Stand as one ----- "Welcome to the Nutshell" (Cover of Pink Floyd and Alice in Chains)
6.
Drifting through an array of days that the phantom owner plays, Worlds surrounding worlds, Swirled, funneled, masked and marked in shame, My thoughts are thunder clouded by the door, Stealing days hour by hour 'til the wars reach shore, Keep marching along. We're marching along. Wars that tell a story of an age, And counterfeit the day, How about we meet the dictator, And smear his nose in the shit he's sprayed, Keep marching along. We're marching along. And the drone of the drum tells how far you have come, When the sound is undone, You've been beating too long, And the blissful are blind, There's a rusty axe to grind, They're too cynical to find what they're leaving behind. You dreamed how it'd feel, But now it is real. Soldiers marching on into a sunset they were born into, Bartering the rise, When it comes I'll find my eyes, And I'll say that they are mine. We're marching along, We're marching along. And the drone of the drum tells how far we have come, When the sound is undone, We've been beating too long, We have been blind, There's a rusty axe to grind, We're too cynical to find what we're leaving behind. We dreamed how it'd feel, But now it is real. ------ Cover of "Mother" by Pink Floyd
7.
Drown me... An aching heart and a bleeding back, I didn't react, I want back what I never had. Drown me feeling sad, And take away what I never had. Tell me how long can you breathe, Underwater next to me? Mirrors reflect a strange man, And pictures tell a lie, Weight too great to bear, Looking back; nobody's there. Drown me... / Slow down, Don't let that fool push you around, I'm here when you're down, Look around...look around...
8.
A pool to dive, A pool to die, With water I could still survive, But here a dive, And there a floor. You've tricked me then and there before. Can you drain a beaten pool, Of endless parts of shattered hearts? Or is hell to thick to drain out? It's the winter and I'm gone now. Roulette with hearts is where pain starts, And it's where it ends, As hopeless friends, With a grudge of truth tattooed to you. It's the winter and I'm gone now. ----- Carry life and life will find you, Leave whatever's left behind you, Time will soon enough remind you, Stare at the sun, The sun will blind you. Don't forget, Stay in tune, Don't regret what's in you.

Cover of "Creep" by Radiohead.

Here we are again, Hello, my friend. Hello, my friend. Blinders set and we pretend, Groundhog Day gets bombed again. But what can we do? Never once do we get through. Here we are again, Looking at my only friend, Time will tell, We can't pretend, Groundhog Day gets bombed again. But what can we do? Never once do we get through. You left me here but I'm okay, I think I can say that anyway, I know what you'll do, I know what you'll say, You are the same as yesterday, And here we'll stay, Welcome back, today. Welcome back... ----- You cannot escape today, Tomorrow's empty, I suggest you stay, I'm lonely here, I need a friend, I am a memory, Help me never end. "Hello..." Wave goodbye and say goodnight, "Goodbye..." "Hello..." I'll see you in the morning light, "Goodbye..." Tomorrow: it seems like a year away, Tell me what to do or say, And I'll stay everyday this way, Time is not on my side. Tell me how long can you hold onto [time], Dreams and what they mean to you, We are only passing through [time], Carry me, I'll carry you. Memories: they will fade away, Tell me what to do or say, Let me stay everyday this way, Time is not on my side. Tell me how long can you hold onto [time], Dreams and what they mean to you, We are only passing through [time], Carry me, I'll carry you. What have you done? What have you become? I'm fading fast, My time is done, I'm lonely here, I need a friend, I am a memory, Help me never end. "Hello..." Wave goodbye and say goodnight, "Goodbye..." "Hello..." I'll see you in the morning light, "Goodbye..." ------- I see you every hour of every day, Either stay or go away, I can't live like this no more, That's for sure, I'm shutting and now I'm locking my door. You're just a dream that won't come true, Love in my heart still belongs to you, Can't you see? Think of all the things that we used to do, Skies in our past were a different blue, I still see you in me. I see you but you never seem to stay, Not today, Not today... You couldn't live like this no more, That's for sure, You were shutting and now you were locking your door. You're just a dream that won't come true, Love in my heart still belongs to you, Can't you see? Think of all the things that we used to do, Skies in our past were a different blue, I still see you in me. Come see me... Once around, Swallow down the emptiness and pain, I almost saw myself in the mirror yesterday, But instead I watched an apparition fade away, I'll be okay... I'll be okay. I see you every hour of every day, What to say? What to say? We can't live like this no more, That's for sure, Goodbye, Doors. Goodbye, Doors.

You’re so confident there'll be another day, But who knows? Please don’t say there’s no other way, How can you be sure? Sometimes ends are new beginnings, Sometimes ends are ends, Lost on a path to winning, Paddle through the river bends. You’re so confident, There’ll be another day, But who knows? ----- Wires dangle lifeless below my feet, Tired from a days work of keeping me alive, And bearing their share of the load, Machines and symbiotic dreams of a future, Without the other, I wonder if the wires wish to exist without me, Become an independent but functionless machine, Supporting nothing, Hanging from nothing, Suspended and retired, A lifeless remora hitched to no one. Am I the host or machine, Am I both in this lucid dream? Am I the nightmare? Who bears the burden of knowledge, And to what extent should I be engaged? When the page turns and my eyes close, For whom will I have lived and died? If the answer is found in mirrors, I am a worthless palindrome, Reading myself back and forth like a numberless grandfather clock whose sole purpose is to hypnotize and make time and progress a line on the horizon. Life support will have been for nothing. The machine but a collection of parts, Lesser than the sum. Wires dangling from nothing and reflecting on a man who stayed alive, A task to them ascribed and done for nothing, For whom will I have lived and died? The answer is obvious and circular, And the question asks itself again and again for generations, Function and necessity to remain, I suppose there’s a destination at which the question ends, And we will have been stacked grains of sand through galaxies, When the last grain of sand answers differently, We will have all become, And we will all be one line with new function, One cannot find answers in mirrors, But in their place in time, Not hypnotized to forget, But to remember and allow the wires to pull and work and help us to remain, Life support so another grain is added, subtracted, stacked, forgotten, and hopeful to one day matter. ------- Circles implode So the story goes And with it our minds, Right in time for the end of days, In a clouded haze, We circle ahead, Nothing there but the dead. Do they feel the dread, And meaning of time, Rewind back to a day, Would they choose to stay, Or circle ahead, Choices left to the dead. Choices left to the dead, Remember now what I said, Remember now what I said. Get outside of your head, And chose to live... Circle the black hole instead, See it inside of your head, The darkness will swallow the dead. To time and your orbit be wed, And hold on true to whatever you can hold onto. Until we’re old or until we fold, We hold onto whatever you can hold onto. Until we’re old, Or until we fold.

I'm old, Brittle as a stone, And I'm cold, Hands fold on a buttoned coat. Don't stand alone, I'm cold too. My bones, Restless and alone, Unfold, You're not to be unknown. Don't stand alone, I'm cold too. Hold onto this song, I won't be long, I won't belong, Right here, I know you're near, Come on and stay strong, I won't be long.
13.
A bump along the road, You're over, now you've grown. Say, "I won't say I can't," Know I understand. Y ou fell into a hole, You say you lost your soul. Say, "I won't say I can't," Know I understand. -------- [Roger Waters/Thom Yorke Banter] While I'm here, I'll tell you to know what you know and allow that to change over time. While I'm here, I'll tell you to open your mind and be good without payment in kind. And when I'm gone, You'll have this song. While I'm here, I'll tell you to feel all emotion but let none shift your motion through time. While I'm here, I'll tell you that I love you dearly and nothing...nothing can change my mind! And when I'm gone, You'll have this song. [Kurt Vonnegut Banter] When you're here, Make others smile, Take nothing for granted in your shared time. When you're here, Laugh and dream and love and think feely and be the sublime. This is our song, Could you pass this along, 'Cause we all hold on, Until we all get along. [Thom Yorke Banter] --------- And I wish I was here, Is not a thing one can say clearly, It’s true. I wish I was here with you. Clearly and true Can you see me too? Or is this a Dream Of what time could mean, Timeless and true, What we’re on the road to do, I’m better with you, I want you with me, Collectively so, And we go and we go, Never knowing what might one day fully truly grow, It is what it is today, It will never again be that way, Take my hand, Look me in my eye, We say hello, And sometimes goodbye, But dreams will maybe make it so, That time will allow us to know, Infinite love and infinite circles above which we stay, Perfect and safe. Perfectly you. I say goodbye but forever in you, Just as you’ll be, Forever in me. So the dream goes, So it will be. Forever in you, Forever in me.
