We were down by the ocean, All the waves were in motion, You were playing in the sand, I asked you to take my hand, And you said, "Daddy, can we stay for just one more day? Do we have to go? I'm warm and comfortable." Okay, We can stay by the ocean, Hold our time and emotion, Build a castle in the sand, Show the ocean where we stand, And you said, "Daddy, today is great, Leaving will have to wait, We don't have to go, We're warm and comfortable." Well I sure would like to be, Comfortable and free, So take my hand and we can stay all day, The smell of ocean in our nose, And water splashing on our toes, So it goes, The castle grows, Our castle grows.

None of us can stay here, None of us can go, I left all my daydreams in an old coat, And now I see that I am not meant to be anything more than me. None of us can stay here, None of us can leave, I left all my aces up an old sleeve, And now I see that I am not meant to be anything more than me. None of us can stay here, None of us can know, You left all your memories in an old soul, And now you see that you are not meant to be anything more than free, And now we see that we are just meant to be together in this dream, Together in this dream.

I can see my daydream, Pinch me, I tend to sleep. Closing in, I’m counting sheep, Hope to complete me, Hoping you’ll meet me halfway, In this wonder factory... I dream in what I see, A typical day to me, All these colors washing me, With hand grenades and mime charades, Watching all my time away, Please stay, In this wonder factory. Plot line sticks it to me, Monsters and hero’s to be, All these dreams, they run free. Hoping I can one day, Measure up to all of them in real ways, In this wonder factory. Know me well, I’ll know me, Time will end, as will we. But not without our memory Every opportunity to stay, In this wonder factory.

I'll Be Gone 03:34
I went for a walk outside, You were not there by my side anymore, I looked to be sure, The moon and the sun split the world in two, The tide pulls the ocean away from you once more, You can stand on the shore... Or you can ride the wave, No one left here to explain, Just where to go, No one knows, No one knows! And I'll be gone... [Thought I'd say hello...but where did you go...I'll wait and then I'll be gone] I turn and I walk away, I cannot see you this way anymore, I looked to be sure, Footprints covered in snow, I do not see what you know anymore, I looked to be sure, And when we ride the wave, No one left here to explain, Just where we go, No one knows, No one knows! And I'll be gone... [Thought I'd say hello...but where did you go...I'll wait and then I'll be gone] Hide the people you know, Tell yourself the flowers didn't grow this year, There's nothing but snow... There's nothing but snow... There's nothing but snow... [That will be all you know] I'll be gone...

You’re so confident there'll be another day, But who knows? Please don’t say there’s no other way, How can you be sure? Sometimes ends are new beginnings, Sometimes ends are ends, Lost on a path to winning, Paddle through the river bends. You’re so confident, There’ll be another day, But who knows?

Wires dangle lifeless below my feet, Tired from a days work of keeping me alive, And bearing their share of the load, Machines and symbiotic dreams of a future, Without the other, I wonder if the wires wish to exist without me, Become an independent but functionless machine, Supporting nothing, Hanging from nothing, Suspended and retired, A lifeless remora hitched to no one. Am I the host or machine, Am I both in this lucid dream? Am I the nightmare? Who bears the burden of knowledge, And to what extent should I be engaged? When the page turns and my eyes close, For whom will I have lived and died? If the answer is found in mirrors, I am a worthless palindrome, Reading myself back and forth like a numberless grandfather clock whose sole purpose is to hypnotize and make time and progress a line on the horizon. Life support will have been for nothing. The machine but a collection of parts, Lesser than the sum. Wires dangling from nothing and reflecting on a man who stayed alive, A task to them ascribed and done for nothing, For whom will I have lived and died? The answer is obvious and circular, And the question asks itself again and again for generations, Function and necessity to remain, I suppose there’s a destination at which the question ends, And we will have been stacked grains of sand through galaxies, When the last grain of sand answers differently, We will have all become, And we will all be one line with new function, One cannot find answers in mirrors, But in their place in time, Not hypnotized to forget, But to remember and allow the wires to pull and work and help us to remain, Life support so another grain is added, subtracted, stacked, forgotten, and hopeful to one day matter.

Circles implode So the story goes And with it our minds, Right in time for the end of days, In a clouded haze, We circle ahead, Nothing there but the dead. Do they feel the dread, And meaning of time, Rewind back to a day, Would they choose to stay, Or circle ahead, Choices left to the dead. Choices left to the dead, Remember now what I said, Remember now what I said. Get outside of your head, And chose to live... Circle the black hole instead, See it inside of your head, The darkness will swallow the dead. To time and your orbit be wed, And hold on true to whatever you can hold onto. Until we’re old or until we fold, We hold onto whatever you can hold onto. Until we’re old, Or until we fold.

Count to three, But not 5 before me, There’s an order, see? I’ll stay free, Until the counting stops to warn me of the odyssey. Rewind the sun to darkness, Undone, Footsteps shining in the moon's sun, Reflections of a day somewhere miles away. Am I nothing more than a dream of what I could be? Me. When to be and when to become me, What shapes me? What to see and what to take from me. When I look I’m walking blind. Rewind the sun to darkness, Undone, Footsteps shining in the moon's sun, Reflections of a day somewhere miles away. Am I nothing more than a dream of what I could be? Me. How much of me is the quest to become me? What shapes me?

And I wish I was here, Is not a thing one can say clearly, It’s true. I wish I was here with you. Clearly and true Can you see me too? Or is this a Dream Of what time could mean, Timeless and true, What we’re on the road to do, I’m better with you, I want you with me, Collectively so, And we go and we go, Never knowing what might one day fully truly grow, It is what it is today, It will never again be that way, Take my hand, Look me in my eye, We say hello, And sometimes goodbye, But dreams will maybe make it so, That time will allow us to know, Infinite love and infinite circles above which we stay, Perfect and safe. Perfectly you. I say goodbye but forever in you, Just as you’ll be, Forever in me. So the dream goes, So it will be. Forever in you, Forever in me.

[Roger Waters/Thom Yorke Banter] While I'm here, I'll tell you to know what you know and allow that to change over time. While I'm here, I'll tell you to open your mind and be good without payment in kind. And when I'm gone, You'll have this song. While I'm here, I'll tell you to feel all emotion but let none shift your motion through time. While I'm here, I'll tell you that I love you dearly and nothing...nothing can change my mind! And when I'm gone, You'll have this song. [Kurt Vonnegut Banter] When you're here, Make others smile, Take nothing for granted in your shared time. When you're here, Laugh and dream and love and think feely and be the sublime. This is our song, Could you pass this along, 'Cause we all hold on, Until we all get along. [Thom Yorke Banter]

Come on in and have a beer, Time slips away when you're in here, Sing nice and loud for the neighbors to hear. The Lamppost is lit! My friends and I sit, Life is so easy when you work hard at it, Share this toast when the Lamppost is lit. Cheers! Cheers! Cheers! Everyone throw back your beers, How do you measure your days and your years? Together, we say. We're together today, We'll measure away... Pull the tap and shave the foam, No street lights, You let the moon guide you home, East and West meet where the Buffalo roam. The Lamppost is lit! My friends and I sit, Life is so easy when you work hard at it, Share this toast when the Lamppost is lit... Cheers! Cheers! Cheers! Everyone throw back your beers, How do you measure your days and your years? Together, we say, We're together today. If you wanna sing along with me, Either Mazur with the karaoke, Or live music collectively, We're together, alive, and free, If you wanna play along with me, Keep your ring finger on the D, Ladies and Gentlemen: your attention please... Crooked Lamppost, sing along with me... Cheers! Cheers! Cheers! Everybody throw back your beers, How do you measure your days and your years? Together we say (together we say!), We're together today (together today!). Come on in and have a beer, Time slips away when you're in here, Can you bring me a beer? Can you bring me another beer?
